What did you have for dinner last night?

I have been eating smaller than usual dinners recently. Perhaps it's because the weather has been cold, and I haven't had much chance to exercise. I don't want to turn into a bowling ball or Sponge Bob Square Pants. I did something new recently and bought four very small steaks at Safeway. The total cost was only about $6.00. I've been cooking them up in the oven (one at a time) and serving them along with packaged mashed potatoes, also from Safeway (and quite good)! Sometimes I have a salad on the side. Sometimes I don't. The result is protein-rich, and satisfying without being too filling. Have you tried new things for dinner recently?

@TheHorse Left over pizza is great for breakfast. My husband and son will heat it but I will eat it cold right out of the fridge. I like it cold as a leftover.

That sounds like a great dinner! It's so hot here-in the 90's or above so we have been eating lighter meals since our appetites are suffering.

Yep. I like to eat salads (with tuna or chicken for protein) when it's hot out.

We had something new last night. We bought Syrian takeout for the first time. I am not sure what the dish was called, but it consisted of chicken, rice and a salad. It was very delicous.

@TheHorse It was a bit of an experiment. We didn't know if we would like the food or not, but it was really good. I would like to visit the place again.

I had a huge salad, I need to drop 20 pounds, well 10 but I may as well go for the gold. The problem with losing weight at my age is I will have more facial wrinkles, I always said," wanna look younger fatten up, it`ll fill up them wrinkles."

Heh. Even though I'm male, I've noticed the same thing. I'd like to lose 10 to 15 lbs, but my face looks fairly full and smooth for an old guy.

We are always trying new things. Some of them we actually like. I love mashed potatoes, real or from a box, but they are hard on my blood glucose. I would have microwaved a small whole potato, if I was being good.
