Today I got 4 such scam emails. The emails state that the sender knows my password, collected my data and recorded me satisfying myself. That person will share it with the world including darknet. If I pay 1400$ in Bitcoin then the scammer will stop doing this. After reading the emails I was just laughing and thinking why this world has so much unemployed people. Such kind of scam started in the Netherlands and the scammers had made more than $46000. These kinds of emails are called sextortion. These spoofed emails are designed to make it look like coming from a trusted party. Just ignore such emails. Have you also received such emails nowadays?

I have heard of sextortion, but I haven't received that kind of emails myself. I have received many other scam emails. One of them claimed to be from the Danish tax authories. It was written in English and the Danish authories NEVER send us official letters in English

Several years ago when I was beginning to use the email. I received emails about receiving a hefty sum of money, winning from loterry, among others. I was very enthusiastic and too excited to receive those weighty money. But my problem is on how to claim for I don't have a bank account, ATM card. So I ignored them and I had learned later that's a form of scam activities.

A few years ago I also received such emails and I too was excited to know that I have become a millionaire. When I asked how to claim the winning money then they gave me a bank account number and told me to transfer $25,000. I sensed something fishy. I replied them back and told them to deduct that money from my winning amount. They never replied after that. Still, I get such emails. I just ignore them.

@manvik That's very huge money. It's good you haven't secured that money.

Not now, but in the past. I consulted people who know more about the internet than I do. Their piece of advice was, "Do Not React!" I followed it and after a while the whole show stopped.

That's true. If you ignore then it will stop. But the problem is that new scams are emerging every day and scammers won't stop sending scam emails.
