Only child? Or with brother or sister?

I have a friend and she is an only child, she told me that is fine with her if she doesn't have a brother or sister because she can get her parents attention and she has a lot of friends! That's why she isn't looking for it, but of course, I also have another only child friend but she said that it's so sad to be alone because her mother and father are working, so there are chances that she is the only one left at home.
