Hanging out with my former students

I was invited to my former student's 18th birthday celebration. I was reluctant at first and felt a little shy, but since that student is dear to me, I pulled myself together and went there. When I arrived, many familiar faces were there, and they all greeted me. They are my former students as well. All night long we ate, and chat, and laugh, and sang in a karaoke. It was truly memorable.

On behalf of you students thank you for going. I attended a party like this after high school. Our biology teacher was there and it is one of my fondest memories of that time in my life. Too many teachers seem to forget their students the moment the school year is over.
