Catching Up

I have been on and off of MyLot this morning thring to catch up on notifications. I am behind again. No big surprise to me, as I have had my mom here and we have been going to doctor appointments just about every day of the week.
Since we are staying home today, I am using my spare time in between chores to do a bit of MyLotting. My main goal is to knock down some notifications, but I would like to also get a few posts up.
We just took some sausage and hot dogs off the grill and fixing to enjoy a late lunch. Later we will do another round of grilling. I have some ground chuck thawing out for some grilled burgers.
Are you MyLotting today or taking the day off (which if is the latter, I won't know about until tomorrow).

Keeping up with notifications is a "losing game" lol. In a way they interfere with new posts because many people have limited time.

jest got'n mylot a bit 'go. busy out settin' water 'round the perimeter'n case folks get a wild hair 'n shoot off fireworks'n this drought. e'en the weeds 're dyin' from the heat'n lack 'f moisture. 'tis a tinder box out there.
that bein' said, no grillin' here today.

It was hot here today also but we are on a hill with lots of shade trees. And since we are in the country, we don't have to put up with or worry about fireworks. I had enough of that in the subdivision we lived in while in Louisiana. I feel for you there.

@kareng i live out'n the country, though so much's been sold off the past 15 yrs that city folk jest keep movin' out here 'n then doin' 's they please. the neighbors closest didn't shoot any fireworks, thankfully. heck, they e'en surprised me'n got out'n watered their place today. good thingy coz the folks'n the other side 'f 'em were shootin' all sorts 'f garbage 'nto the air. 'd more'n the highway... the critters're all 'pset.
