Happy August! My birthday month :) / myLot

Hello myLot! I just got back from a short walk, it's a beautiful day but it's getting hot quickly! How is your weather today? Also....it's August!!!

As a kid I used to not be a fan of this month, it meant school was coming back and the summer was ending. Now that I'm older, I use it as an excuse to celebrate my birthday. And though I never used to be, now I'm the kind of person to celebrate all month. You only have one birthday a year, might as well extend the celebration, right? As for celebrating, next weekend my friends and I are going to Orlando to visit more friends and maybe a certain Mouse...if we have time haha. And later in August I am going back across the state to visit my friends and family for another weekend at the beach. Who knows what other shenanigans I'll get up to this month

So lovely myLotters, how do you celebrate your birthday? Do you make it a month long event or do you just keep to your one day? Do you have any plans this August? However you celebrate, I hope you have a great birthday and a great day in general :)

I’m still celebrating my birthday that happened back in May! I determined this year that I am going to keep celebrating until the end of the year! And speaking of Orlando, I will be there this weekend for a paintball tournament, which means at night I will be visiting the House of Mouse! And finally, Happy Birthday to you!

@isweartokira Alright, you've got something to look forward to next week! How exciting! I like the idea of dinner and a movie, but you shouldn't have to treat yourself...it's your birthday! I hope your grandma is okay after her knee surgery. That was very nice of you to offer to stay home and help her.

haha, that's the spirit! my plans were changed a little, my grandma just had knee surgery so I stayed home this weekend to help her out, but next weekend we want to hit Orlando! I hope you do well in the paintball tournament

thanks, my actual birthday is next Wednesday. I might just treat myself to dinner or a movie :)

@moffittjc honestly, the best gift is spending time with friends and family, so treating myself to a movie doesn't bother me haha. it's just the cherry on top :) she's doing alright, slowly getting moving again. I'm going back to visit her tomorrow and her physical therapist cones three times a week. we'll get her out and about in no time! how've you been, Jeff? other than the upcoming paintball tournament?

Usually, there would be birthday celebration at the office, af the house and my hometown where my mother and sisters are. I always celebrate my birthday. It's a way of giving thanks to God for giving me another year and hopefully many more years. Belated Hapoy Birthday! Enjoy life!

yes, there have been years when I haven't celebrated and I regret them. even if I just do something small for myself on my birthday, it feels better. that's why I make it month long celebration now! and no worries, my birthday is August 21st, so your birthday message isn't belated at all :)

I hope you have a wonderful birthday and a completely fantastic month! My son's birthday is coming up shortly - on the 24th. He lives in Ireland so we won't be seeing him on his birthday but we were there earlier in the year.
