Bank Account CLOSED

For those of you that have been following the news on my mother and the fraud that has been committed against her, you will know how significant "Bank Account Closed" really is. Mom's social security check had been deposited but the wicked had already pushed several more checks through so she ended up losing about $600.00. We transferred her balance to the new account we opened last week and closed the old account. Anymore forged checks should stand out and not go through whenever they write one. Hopefully, they will get picked up. I know this is wishful thinking, but one can hope. I know my God can work miracles and since my mother refuses to press charges against her son or his girlfriend because he loves her, this would be an easy way out. She once again declined any assistance with the bank this morning and would not speak up and say yes, this needs to stop. She will not have her new checkbook, the register or get any mail from the bank at her house. It will all be going to my P.O. box. Hopefully, this will work for awhile, but I know she will be wanting to give him money. He can't have a check though. I am fixing to run to town here and knock out a few errands. And then, I think a short nap may be in order. Photo: Pixaby, public domain

Your last sentence, "I am fixing to run to town...." gave me a laugh. My college roommate was a guy from New York. One day, soon after he had moved to Florida, he asked me if everything in the South was broken. I asked him what he was talking about, and he said, "I don't know, but every time people in the South talk, they are always saying that they are fixing something." I was dying laughing when he said that.

That's like the people in Texas refer to everyone as "you guys." I guess they can't tell some are gals??

She knows and I know. My brother and/or his girlfriend did it. She has admitted it but will not do anything to press charges. See earlier posts for the "rest of the story."

@Nevena83 I know. I cannot wrap my head around this at all. I have lost all respect for him and my feelings right now is that I hope he gets the punishment he deserves.

@kareng Oh my God, that's awful. I read that he was your brother, but I thought I didn't understand well. How could he do that to his mother.

It hasn't cleared any out but will stop them from spending her money until they figure out how to get into another account.

Good news. I am sorry she ended u losing that money but now maybe someone in authority can catch him and his girlfriend and put a stop to them taking advantage.

That is what I am hoping for. It's hard watching what he is doing to her and she doesn't realize that it is bad. She never noticed all the overdraft charges before. Not to mention what has been done to her credit rating.

@Acefun She is still with me and won't be going back there as long as they are there. I just wish these businesses would catch them on the spot with checks being rejected electronically and pressing charges.

That is great news. I'm sorry that she lost so much money. I can understand how hard it would be to press charges against her son.

There comes to a point though to where it is necessary. When a child tries to ruin you, it's time to go to jail.

Glad you got that done. Sorry they wrote more checks. But that is ended now and it will be in the banks hands or where ever the check bounces.

That is wonderful news. Why not tell your mother that they can and will make it on their own, to think about it, if she was not there he would survive and its just a fact.

She actually said today that if he goes to jail she will have nobody to take care of her. I said mom, he never really took care of you. All he did was spend your money. No reply.

@andriaperry Exactly. She never has been able to fathom that he is not a superhero. I had to hunt him down when we needed help at the house when my dad was sick. Sad.

I knew they would. I was hoping that she would have some of her check left. Now they are in for a rude awakening when next check is passed.

I don't need or want to be repaid. I just want what is right for my mother. She isn't standing up for herself right now and someone has to be in her corner. I've got my boxing gloves on and they won't come off until she is back in her house and those two are hopefully in jail.
