Walk on the beach to reduce stress

One of my hobbies is going to the beach. Although not all my friends like the beach, fortunately there are some of my best friends who like the beach just like me. I love to enjoy the air on the beach. I like when the feet just step on the sand, the fresh air of the beach, the salty wind and also when swimming or snorkeling with my friends. I feel walking around the beach is very helpful to reduce stress, especially if you work and live in big cities. Some people in big cities choose to relieve stress by walking in the mall, but I don't like it. I prefer natural things and walk and see the beauty of nature. How about you? How do you get rid of stress? Is it walking to the beach? Or go to the mountain? Or go for a relaxing massage? Let me know what do you like.

i am 100 % agree with you and i love to walk on beaches as it really keeps mind calm, gives positiveness and making relax. there is no beach near my home but when I visit Sri Lanka i keep daily going on beaches and in the evening i walk there and i get a lot of peace, calmness and stressful life.

Walking on the beach is one of the most calming and relaxing things I know to do. The fewer the people on the beach, the more relaxing the walk.

I like going to the beach. I feel very calm and peaceful. I also like going to mountains. I enjoy the scenery and atmosphere.

I love walking on the beach too or just sitting and watching how the waves move at sun set is very magical. It is so refreshing and opens the mind to new thinking, it is calm and relaxes the nerves too.

I love the beach, I love to walk near the shore and wet my feet, feel the waves, I really like to relax looking at the horizon and observe the pelicans and seagulls

I love to walk along the beach when I am alone. When I am with my children I like to walk along the top above the beach to see the stunning looking coastal views. The beach views always make me feel relaxed and happy. I adore tropical beaches with palm trees. I live just 3 miles from the beach. I like Sand Bay because it is a rural beach. The town beach has a pretty pier.

I love the beach and really wish I lived closer to the sea. I have recently discovered a man made beach which is only a 40 minute drive from where I am and I will be going there more often. It's been constructed by the lakes so doesn't have the lovely smell of the sea but I still enjoy it there.

@redtesha I would have to take a bus to get to the beach so I do not go. Right now I am still working on trying to get rid of stress and have not found it yet.

Walking as such is good for stress relief. And walking among Nature and on beach definitely has added bonus. I would love to walk on beach regularly but I have no beach in place where I leave. So have to wait for vacations. Lucky that you can do it more frequently.

An excellent way to reduce stress! I live about 20 minutes from the beach and visit as often as I can. Sometimes I walk it and others I take a towel and chair just to sit and soak up the sun.
