In the Beginning. The sky (heaven) and the earth (land) were finished, and all their array. And on the seventh day (Pagan calls Saturn’s-Day) YHWH finished the work which He had been doing, and He ceased on the seventh day from all the work which He had done. And YHWH blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on it He ceased from all the work of creation which He had done. (Genesis 2:1-3)……. He commanded the children of Isra’el and their future generations, to observe the Shabbat and keep it holy. “Remember the Shabbat Day and keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Shabbat of the YHWH, your Elohim; you shall not do any work - you, your son or daughter, your male or female servant, or your cattle, or the stranger, who is within your settlements. For in six days the YHWH made the sky (heaven) and earth and sea, and all that is in them, and He rested on the seventh day; therefore the YHWH blessed the Shabbat and sanctified it.” (Exodus 20:8-11)……. “Observe the Shabbat day and keep it holy (Quodesh). Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day (Pagan calls Saturn’s-Day) is a Shabbat of YHWH, your Elohim; you shall not do any work - you, your son or daughter, your male or female servant, or your cattle, or the stranger, who is within your settlements, so that your male and female servant may rest as you do (physically). Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt and YHWH your Elohim freed you from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm; therefore the YHWH your Elohim has commanded you to observe the Shabbat day.” (Deuteronomy 5:12-15)……. Tells how food for the Shabbat must be prepared on 6th Day. “And it came to pass that on the sixth day (Pagan calls Frigga’s-Day) they gathered twice as much bread (manna), two corners for each one; and the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses. And he said unto them: "This is that which YHWH has spoken: Tomorrow is a solemn rest, a Shabbat unto the YHWH. Bake that which ye will bake, and seethe that which ye will seethe; and all that remains over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.” (Exodus 16:22-30)……. Indicates that Shabbat exists as a covenant between YHWH and the Jewish people: “Wherefore the children of Isra’el (physically and spiritually) shall keep the Shabbat, to observe throughout their generations (that includes the Believers, whether a Jew or a Gentile living in our present-age, as valid as yesterday even in the future) for a perpetual covenant (eternal or lasting covenant).” Exodus 31:16-17……. YHWH commanded no fire to be kindled on the Shabbat. “These are the words which YHWH has commanded, that ye should do them. Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day (Pagan calls Saturn’s-Day) there shall be to you a Set-Apart Day, a Shabbat of solemn rest to YHWH; whosoever doeth any work therein shall be put to death. Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the Shabbath Day.” (Exodus 35:1-3)……. The Shabbat is declared a day of rest and convocation. “The appointed seasons of YHWH, which ye shall proclaim to be holy (Quodesh) convocations; even these are my appointed seasons. Six days shall work be done; but on the seventh day (Pagan calls Saturn’s-Day) is a Shabbat of solemn rest, a holy (Quodesh) convocation; ye shall do no manner of work; it is a Shabbat unto YHWH in all your dwellings.” (Leviticus 23:1-3)……. The reward of honoring Shabbat. “If thou turn away thy foot because of the Shabbat, from pursuing thy business on my holy (Quodesh)day... Then shalt thou delight thyself in YHWH, and I will make thee to ride upon the high places of the earth; and I will feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father.” (Isaiah 58:13-14)……. The Shabbat as a universal day of worship. “And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Shabbat to another, shall flesh come to worship before Me, said YHWH.” (Isaiah 66:23)……. Jerusalem's glory depending on keeping the Shabbat. “And it shall come to pass if ye diligently hearken unto Me, saith the YHWH, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the Shabbat day, but to honor the Shabbat day, to do no work therein; then shall there enter in by the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David... But if ye will not hearken unto me to honor the Shabbat day, and not to bear a burden and enter in at the gates of Jerusalem on the Shabbat day, then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall not be quenched.” (Jeremiah 17:24, 25, 27)……. YHWH rebukes Isra’el's continued disregard of the Shabbat/The prophet Nehemiah, who led the Jews' return to the land of Isra’el from Babylonian exile, attempts to enforce Shabbat's observance. “And it came to pass that, when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the Shabbat, I commanded that the doors should be shut, and commanded that they should not be opened till after the Shabbat. From that time forth came they no more on the Shabbat.” (Ezekiel 20: 10-13, 17-22/Nehemiah 13:15-22)……..
