Labor Day Pierce Your Ears Day 1789 - The United States Department of the Treasury is founded. 1963 - CBS Evening News becomes the United States network television's first half-hour weeknight news broadcast after it is lengthened from 15 to 30 minutes. 1951 - Mark Harmon was born. He is an American TV and film actor and producer. Harmon has done a lot of TV work. His most memorable is on NCIS from 2003-present. Some of his movie roles: Summer School (see below), The Presidio, Wyatt Earp, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Freaky Friday, Chasing Liberty and Weather Girl. 1964 - Keanu Reeves was born. He is a Canadian actor and musician. Some of his more famous movies: The Bill & Ted franchise, Point Break, Speed, the John Wick franchise, The Matrix franchise, Dangerous Liaisons, My Own Private Idaho, Little Buddha, A Walk in the Clouds, Chain Reaction, The Lake House, The Day the Earth Stood Still.
