Another Senseless Killing...

What is going on with out law enforcement these days? A neighbor can not even do a welfare check on someone, without some cop getting trigger happy? What happened to knocking on the door first? Or asking for backup if you feel there might be a threat? An innocent woman is killed right in her own home, and she was not even a threat. The neighbor next door feels so badly that he called to have someone check up on her, because now she is dead. I am all for respecting our law enforcement. But with all these needless and senseless killings, I am beginning to be afraid to be around them.
A police officer responding to a call early Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas, fired a shot into the window of a woman's home, striking and killing her. The Fort Worth Police Department did not release the name of the officer, ABC Dallas-Forth Worth affiliate

Yea, I agree with you, a lot of them are trigger happy. Why in the would did he think he had to shoot her, she wasn't a treat, all she was doing was standing at the window. This is a case of shoot first ask questions later!

Yes... I totally agree. Something needs to be done. It is becoming an epidemic. Officers used to never do this... Why all of a sudden now they think everyone, including helpless old ladies are a threat to them is very alarming. Kind of like everyone leaving their babies in hot cars. These too are senseless deaths. This kind of thing rarely happened a few years ago.

@teresatrotter yea, there are a lot of senseless killings out there. Not quite sure if there's more, or with the advanced technology we have now, we just hear more and more about it. You are so right about leaving babies in hot cars, I would say if they would charge enough of then with, I wouldn't say murder, but a series crime, people might just start paying more attention.

There are people who become cops hoping for the chance to kill someone. They are already craving that power and being a cop gives them the authority to pull it off.

It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. You are asked to check on a person you ring the bell show you are police and ask if everything is all right you do not shoot through a window. Something fishy here.

I agree. That used to be the way it was. When neighbors had police check on me when I was going through some hard times, the police did exactly what you mentioned. Then they went on their way, after they were satisfied everything was okay.
