it's beginning to look a...little...like

Holidays are coming fast and I got out to do a little shopping today. Stores have Christmas decorations up and scents of pine and cinnamon swirling all around. I haven't gotten out in stores to do Christmas shopping in years, so this was incredibly fun for me. Temps outside were right around the freezing point and I did have to sit outside for a little while to wait for my ride home. But I didn't mind because I was in a holiday state of mind. Sometimes, that changes everything. So, some gifts are bought, some are in the process of being made and I still need to get some paper for wrapping. Not sure if I'm going to play with making my own wrapping paper or just buy some, but I'm not at all worried. I'm just enjoying the whole process again for the first time in ages. Peace Claudia

My box of cards is out already, although I haven't yet begun any writing. Last year I almost forgot, so I decided to get the box out, sit it on the table and mornings over coffee, I can begin writing a couple at a time.

Making your own wrapping paper is a nice idea if you get the time. It does feel nice to shop this time of year when things are so festive.

I've done my own wrapping paper in the past and it was so much fun! Last year I made pom poms for all of my packages instead of bows, and those went over big with everyone! So this year I'm trying to think of something different.

I have never really done some Christmas shopping. I remember I usually just give a certain amount of money to my secretary and a list of how many gifts she has to buy.

Once everyone puts up their outside decorations, I love being able to go for rides just to look at them all. It's so festive!
