The Weather Network says that we are in for a colder winter and more precipitation than normal this year. Apparently only the West Coast and the Far North will be normal or above with an early spring forecast. Of course, here in Toronto can mean lots of snow ...frozen right through spring ....but more likely we are gonna have freeze cycles, then thaw andrain cycles .,.... and over. What's your prediction for your area fellow mylotters? Make a stand and we will compare notes in March! I challenge you all! My Guess for Southern Ontario: Above average snow in December with snow/rain mixes frequently ... Colder January and February than normal with less than 10 days above freezing...... Spring to be late....no real thaw until almost Mid March Now, what's your fearless predictions for your home town ?

Green Bay, Wisconsin. If the trend keeps going the way it has for the past couple of years, we will see a higher amount of snowfall. 2019 was a record-breaking year for snow and precipitation. I expect more of the same. I'm hoping for more snow than rain, but I'm already seeing the rain/snow cycle which is causing flooding when it rains. I don't expect to see a thaw until mid-April.

So far what I said has proven to be wrong!...much more mild here in Toronto than normal...and not much snow...but more freezing rain and rain

@Luap1050 So far, we're not getting much snow either for January. However, we already have a third of our usual snowfall for the season. I'm hoping to see more snow soon. My grass is green again. I really don't like seeing rain in the forecast at this time of year.

I have been seeing news about the strange weather patterns that I am starting to believe that we are entering a new era of climate.

@Luap1050 yeah, that was a big disaster that Venice has been underwater for several days already. Until last night there was no indication that the water will subside.

Flood, typhoon, and earthquake? Which I hope won't happen as I haven't experienced any flooding or earthquake in my hometown for a few years now.

It's never easy to predict the weather. Our planet is going through phases which affects the climate everywhere and with the ice caps melting it makes sense that it will be colder elsewhere. I can only pray that my desert will remain warm compared to Ontario.
