'Make new friends but keep the old.

Those are silver, these are gold.' I was thinking of deleting inactive friends, because I couldn't manage the discussions any longer. I couldn't get through to more friends who need responses. The list is long and scrolling again and again makes me cross-eyed and dizzy. But I'm being prevented from deleting because of that old adage. Would mylot delete inactive mylotters? Or it is up to us to check which ones are active.

The tally is disconcerting for me and deceiving to newbies. There is no interaction with old ones who came and left with the blink of an eye.

@eileenleyva Old members don't disturb because no new posts come from them which want to be read. I have no idea how many of my so-called friends have left the site for good. So no tally disturbs me.

You are right, truely some friends are worth keeping , but also i think its ok if some are filtered and send to the trash. Sorry for my language but some attitudes belong in the trash can. Lol

I have been inactive from time to time, years sometimes, but my account was always as I left it when I returned. I suppose we never know what is going on in a person's life which could prevent them from posting. I don't think MyLot deletes them unless they have been banned. I don't worry about inactive users either. I just leave them and interact with the people who comment on my posts.

Thank you. This is good enough an explanation. Yes, we do not know what's going on with our friends' lives when they fail to correspond.

@eileenleyva I think it would take too long to go through inactive users to be honest and I always think it's good that my money is just as I left it when I return and I can pick up where I left off.

@Sreekala I was loaded with work the whole eight days of Christmas. Physically exhausted. I feel though that I must check on my notifications, because my virtual friends are important. Glad you are back. Get healed soon enough, huh. The health comes first. Will pray for you.

Never bothered deleting inactive contacts in my contact list. I just make sure that I reply to the notifications that come my way.

What's the problem with having inactive friends? Even in Facebook I just let them be. What I delete are annoying friends who posts politics and sharing nonsense memes.

There's a difference with virtual friends. We totally have no idea about these friends. I want to delete because it would be easier for me to communicate with few friends who are active. The list is long and painstaking to scroll on.

@eileenleyva so you scroll to check your friends in this site? I had never seen my list of followers here.

True. In my case, some of the gold are gone. I remember them, for once upon a time, we were friends.

If they're inactive, why do you have discussions from them? I don't follow.
