No, I don't mean I'm a dirty, low-down, snake-in-the-grass I mean that, according to the Chinese Zodiac, I was born in the Year of the Snake and anyone born in the Year of the Snake are idealists - on the outside, they may seem cold but, deep inside, they are warm and enthusiastic. This year, 2020, is the Year of the Rat and according to the Chinese Zodiac those born in the year of the Rat like saving and collecting, they never have hard times financially and live organised lives - lucky them! The Chinese Zodiac has 12 animal signs each of which covers an entire year and they repeat in that 12-year cycle - next year will be The Year of the Ox. In Chinese culture the Zodiac can be used to determine your fortune for the year, marriage compatability, career fit, best times to have a baby, and much more. So what are you - a rat, a snake, an ox or something else. You can find out here:

@ScotMac All the zodiac signs are also associated to one of the 5 elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, and water). According to the year people were born it would be the zodiac sign and one of the 5 elements.

I got quite interested in Chinese zodiac many years back. Can't remember which I am, but like our own zodiac. It seems like the Chinese zodiac is coming back into fashion for us Westerners

Fashion is about all it is - I don't really think it can be used to plot out the course of our lives

This is very interesting. I don't believe it but it is fun to have a look at it. By the way, my mom was born in the Year of Rat

I'm an Ox and a leo. As far as I know each eastern zodiac is also affected by when in that year you were born.
