My Crochet Today--A Work in Progress

It started off as a crochet heart doily. I ran short of the red thread, so i decided to trim it in white. Then i joined it on a gold colored ring and sewed some Christmas trim around it that had all the same matching colors. I'm not sure what i'm going to do next. Maybe add some hanging hearts and make it a decoration for Valentines Day. What would you add to it?

I think you're on the right track. Adding anything more may take away from the simplicity that makes it so appealing :)
