the rapid escalation of morning thoughts

January 21, 2020 12:58am CST
The world sparkles this morning, like a Twilight vampire in the sun or a nighttime FaerieLand embedded in the pavements, drunken faerie-foolery occurring on the rooftops of parked cars. The moon is a bright crescent in an otherwise pure black sky; the sun has yet to wake up. It's a beautiful pre-dawn for trudging to the bus stop, silent but for a few jolly birds greeting me with song. An occasional car trundles by, spoiling the soliloquy of my dystopian dreams. I love this time of day. I can imagine myself alone in the world, the heroine of my own epic fantasy set in a post-apocalyptic world. For ten minutes my world is calm and nearly stress-free. And then ... BOOM!!! I'm suddenly at the bus stop, on the bus, at work, uncouth youths, people everywhere, all intent on ruining my day with inane conversation, noise, lights, camera ... action. Sometimes I hide in the toilets, just to achieve some peace. And yet, there is no peace at work, even in the toilets. Now look at me, becoming full of melancholia, feeling the futility of a life not worth living. Get up. Go to work. Go home. Sleep. We are born and we die and what we do in the middle of these two absolutes is probably irrelevant and dismissable. Whoa! That escalated pretty quickly. Stupid frost. Stupid early mornings. Stupid mind full of thoughts. Have a beautiful day, fine folk of myLot!

Dawn writing is me at my best ... the words just flow before my mind awakens.

I hate it when it becomes impossible to find peace and quiet anywhere too
