Lost'n found

FOUND: Long haired charcoal grey 'n white cat with a black dot'n the nose! 'lrighty, I'm purty certain said cat 'tis not 'ctually lost. Most likely dumped out here'n the country by some....person. Why'd a gal think such? Skin'n bones, poor coat quality, very frightened. This pic 'tis'n super zoom 'n cropped to boot. Must mean that 'nvisible neon sign hangin' out front 'tis still workin'. Ya know that'un that 'nly critters 'n folks down' their luck can see? The one that says: "If you come, she will feed and shelter you." Don't reckon angels brought such here, do ya? To replace that poor, sweet Siamese that disappeared?

@crazyhorseladycx Poor kitty, he is surely scared. I always place food outside because may be there are strays cats that I have never seen but they need to eat. I have a couple of boxes under the porch, with inside old pillows if a cat need to take a rest there.

'tis sure a purty cat. doin' my best, hon. 'twas not out fer breakfast this morn, though some 'f the others don't 'lways come either. mostly 't suppertime. might've jest been passin' through? i wish i could keep 'em food outdoors 24/7, but the neighbors pups 're prone to gettin' out 'n comin' to visit. quite fond 'f cat chow. been tryin' to talk the hubs 'nto buildin' 'em a cat house fer several years. one where they've a safe place to eat/sleep if'n they wish. one where larger critters can't get'n. though i've seen 'em get 'long jest fine with skunks joinin' 'em from time to time.

Poor thing. Pisses me off people can do that. It's a felony here in Oregon now to abuse and neglect an animal. I know your heart will help this poor thing. Bless you.

does me's well. then 'gain, might jest be feral like the rest. 'f course, that's how that happens most oft, too. folks toss 'em out like trash :( pups the same. there's sadly not many laws regardin' such 'round these parts, those that're'n the books aint enforced. yepperz, 'tis eatin' with the 'herd' 'f ferals. thus far they seem to be gettin' 'long well. what's one more mouth to feed? i'll not let any critter nor human go without food/shelter if'n i can help 't. thanks, hon.

@crazyhorseladycx We had ferals at my old house and I caught them, fixed them, found homes for most. When I left and it sold, the new people fed the ones remaining. People up here get a lot of barn cats for mice but not all fix so many get feral. Irritates me they don't be responsible.

@crazyhorseladycx That's so sad. Bless you for burying him. I understand about the funds. I was married when I did a lot of them and it ran in to the thousands. Now, I have to look for rescues holding events. There is one near us right now offering low or no cost spaying. Yet, many will still not utilize it.

@crazyhorseladycx As it gets used to you it might tame down. We seem to get a lot of pregnant females when we get strays. They want a kitten while it is little and cute but dont want to be responsible. There is a clinic next town over that fixes females for about 50. Thats not bad at all for price. I had a stray male done there for 35. He stopped trying to beat up my males then.

folks drop all sorts 'f critters out this way, really irritates me somethin' awful. there 'twas a fella, who's since passed, down the road that'd near 60 they say. he hoarded 'em there'n his house. 'twas a horrific mess when he passed. the whole place 'twas gutted to get rid 'f the stench.

Can you get him checked for a chip? He might have a family somewhere missing him like crazy because he ran away when startled by New Year fireworks, and now he can't find his own way home because he jumped through the open window of a parked car and ended up 300 miles from home ... You can tell I still wonder about my beautiful Moggles who disappeared after a thunderstorm nearly eight years ago. I still expect to see him running up the street.

Aw it's a cute cat. I hope it lets you get close to it. When we lived in the country - same thing. Always seemed like there would be a stray. Sometimes they really didn't seem wild. In one case, the cat was declawed. What gives with some people?

@crazyhorseladycx Oh no. I'm so sorry. At least you offered some kindness to the poor thing in her short little life. Oh that is so sad, about the pets who have some condition. I was taught that an animal companion is a responsibility and a part of the family. I've only gotten closer with them as they age into elder pets even if that means they have a few things to deal with
