do i let my 8 year son have this pocket watch,it was his grandfathers,it does work

Sorry but I think no matter how much you love your 8 year old kid, you must not permit him to have that watch. Keep it somewhere safe. When he will grow old and have something to remember his grandfather by, he will appreciate it more. It will be also an expensive antique and he is going to love you for that.

yes, but only if you put it up for him in a safe place. I know he is old enough to understand how important that the watch is a family heirloom, and that it will be there for him to wear when he is older.
