I just realized that I have to go to pain management Tuesday for injections in my lower back. I am not looking forward to it. The last time I had it done, it was a different pain management and it hurt really bad. I think they didn't let the numbing medication work before they gave me the injections. I am really nervous about it.

Maybe you should tell them that last time it hurt a lot. If you are nervous you will be tense which wouldn't be a good thing either. I hope it goes okay.

When you go in this time, definitely make sure you let them know about your discomfort last time, and how nervous you are this go-around. They may make note of that and look for ways to make you more comfortable this time. Good luck with the injections.

The last time I went, it was at a different facility. This is the first time I've had it done at the new place and it was a lot better.

@moffittjc It really was better. The doctor was gentle and talked to me the whole time telling me what to expect.

I can understand being nervous after your last ordeal, but hopefully this won't be anything like it.
