I miss Bubblews and Slicethepie!

More than 5 years ago, when I was unemployed, I had many online earning sites, but the majority of them only gave me pennies.
But there were two great ones: Bubblews and Slicethepie.
Bubblews was a paid to write site, where one could make even hundreds of dollars per month. But they had many problems and eventually disappeared.
Slicethepie is still up and running, as far as I know, but they banned Romania from their list, so I couldn't use the site anymore. All you had to do was to listen to music and write your opinion about them.
Now, that I am employed and I earn decently, I would love to have those sites around, to complete my earnings. I guess I would be able to live more than fine if those site would still be around, or accept members from Romania.
Do you miss Bubblews? Are you a member of Slicethepie?

They started very well, but then they have went down pretty badly. I don't miss being deceived, I miss the good things from that site.

@LadyDuck I have reported many of them. I believed a lot in Bubblews, but it was too good to last.

@rappeter13 In the beginning it was easy to make money. They should have cared more to keep the spammers out of the site.

Personally I have never belonged to slicethepie, but I did belong to bubblews.
They stopped paying people who where not from the US, and they owed me a lot of money.
I stopped using the site months before they collapsed.
A lot of the people that I interacted with on that site are here on this site and I still interact with.

I think I received all the money from Bubblews, and I am far from USA. I felt bad when problems started kicking in.

I don´t miss the real Bubblews who was really a scam. But I do miss the idea we had of it. We hoped to be paid and we worked hard. They did not pay me all they owed me and that happened to many people.

Bubblews left a bad taste in my mouth ! They went belly up before I got paid.

Yes, but the earning rate of myLot is far from what Bubblews was able to provide in the period they really paid.

I remember opening a Bubblews account but I never used it. I am also still a member of SliceThePie, but I rarely go on there.
I was most active on Gather and Triond during that time frame, and those are probably the sites I miss the most. I especially miss the Gather format and community.

@rappeter13 Pretty much. Gather had a points system and you could redeem points for PayPal, gift cards, and sometimes various merchandise. I always did the PayPal cashout.

@skydancer It is a shame that sites like those are not too many. There was a time when there were plenty of them, which would help us make more income.

@skydancer It is easier for you, as you are a native speaker of English. I consider myself good in English, but when it comes for professional articles, I don't think I pass the quality check.

I wasn't paid by bubblews once and then never got anything i had earned when they shut down. I wouldn't say I earned a lot there. And from what I remember it took time to get to the minimum. Can't say I miss the site though. Would be nice to have a site where you just write your thoughts and have discussions in the comments and get paid...Oh wait! That's mylot.

I remember reaching the minimum in 5 days. And it was 50 dollars.
Yes, myLot is that kind of site, but with lower earning potential.

It is not a new site, it is up and running for years. But I don't know if they accept India or not. Give it a try!

It was a very exciting site in the beginning. But the payment rate was much too high.

I never knew bubble news and i also not a member of slicethepie.What kind of music do they play? I love listening to music but depending on the genre. I don't go for rock music.

They have every sort of genre, and you have to review them. The payment was great back then, higher than any other online earning site I knew.

I miss the money that I earned from Bubblews. It was my best earning website. Even though I knew that it couldn’t last, I kept writing for the site. After they didn’t pay me three times, I quit. I used to be a member of Slicethepie but I wasn’t active. It’s still online, is it?

That money would help me a lot, too. Slicethepie is still there, but they banned many countries. Give it a try.

I was a member of Bubblews for a while but left before it closed because those server crashes used to drive me insane. I went on to join Chatabout which also closed. I was never a member of Slicethepie as I didn't know enough about music to do a decent review.

I miss Bubblews so much. At one time, I was making quite a bit of money there, and then they left us. I've never heard of slicethepie before.

@rappeter13 Romania. Most sites are not available here. And Slicethepie doesn't work here. It's available only in some countries.
