What will you do if you have to stay at home?

stay at home

Due to the coronavirus, I think more and more people choose to stay at home. In fact we have stayed at home most of the time for over a month already. My husband has worked for about three weeks. So when he doesn't have to work during the weekends, he will spend time to study. He wants to improve English and he spends some time for it. Besides it, he will learn to play some songs by the piano. So these days I hear the music more often. My son is busy with his study almost everyday. The children have online courses and homework. It is a hard task for everybody, including the teachers, parents and children As to me, most of the time I work at home now and I don't have to go to the office often. That's nice as I can cook more nice food for my husband and son. So what's your plan when you have to stay at home?

I am blocked at home since today like all French. Living alone it is not fun. Everything has been canceled, including a conference where I was speaking in April. I have now to try to be refunded from my train tickets... For the rest, I will be more often on myLot.

@LadyDuck Except for a little walk daily I intend to stay at home until the end of this mess. I have not voted Sunday, politicians don't need my vote to get a job. We can authorize ourselves on a paper (lol, that's France) to do essential shopping or exercise outdoors. If we have not this signed auto-authorization with us we risk a fine.

@topffer We are also staying at home, even the planned tooth cleaning has been cancelled. The only thing we can still do is go out to buy food, only what is necessary, not large quantities.

I am fortunate that I cannot be bored at home because I have the plants, we have the dogs, I also have the computer.

I think Australia is still very safe as I seldom hear about the coronavirus news there. The last news about coronavirus is Tom Hanks and his wife were found test positive.

@JudyEv I heard Tom Hanks and his wife got well and they already went out of hospital. Currently they quarantine themselves in a house. So this is a good sign.

Other than go out to buy basic commodities, I'll probably binge-watch movies on cable, exercise and do the chores that I have procrastinated on.

That's the best thing we could do, earn a new skill, be productive even at home. I am new here in mylot so I should enjoy the moment with my new found outlet:)

I am on Spring Break from school, but I would not be surprised if it gets extended. My daughter and grandchildren are traveling to see us as they had to be out of the house while my son-in-law does some remodeling work. We have a big yard and if the weather is nice we will spend a lot of time outdoors.

@Hannihar We had a very quiet Chinese New Year. We stayed at home and didn't visit each other. No gathering is still the best at present anyway.

Yes, people are trying to keep away from crowds or contact with other people. I only go out to buy food and get my mail. I bring along hand sanitizer to use before and after shopping and after getting the mail wash my hands. The virus is affecting all aspects of living.
