Just checking the roof

Yesterday it rained a little so I had to check the roof if the gutter was still clean. The nearby bamboo grove have the scattered leaves that land on our roof to settle in the gutter. When there are lots of bamboo leaves, the gutter gets clogged and the rainwater would enter the ceiling.

Yeah, had to collect the leaves. I have seen a bamboo cabinet for speakers. This reminds me that I had a stint with JBL inc, the maker of quality speakers.

@LadyDuck it is not in our culture. But that is better, I think, for the woman would have a sense of independence.

There were bamboo leaves in the gutter. Actually there are no rains yet so it wouldn't matter if the gutter gets clogged by the leaves. But it is my habit to clean the gutter twice a month, at the least.

Our roof is delicate with trash. When the leaves pile up in the gutter then the rainwater has nowhere to go but inside our house.

@amitkokiladitya the bamboo grove is very tall so when the leaves fall it is flown by the wind onto our roof and settles on the gutter.

Yes, they are cleaned because I cleaned them, waheehee. But in one week there would be lots of leaves again in the gutter.

We only clean the gutter during the rainy season only but I needed to check because it was windy the past days. Leaves would pile up.

We use to have that problem before. Leaves and even fruit from our neighbor's tree would always end up on our roof clogging the gutter. Now its been almost 2 years since they had it cut so no more of those fruits falling on our roof and leaves filling the gutter. We regularly maintain the roof and gutters too to avoid major wear down and costly repairs.
