The world third most populous country, the US, has 85,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 surpassing China. It is alarming that the number went up this big. Stay safe America. We are also battling the virus. My province is already on lockdown. My hometown, reported 1 case and the village announced extreme enhanced quarantine. The village where I grew is connected by two bridges, we are in between bridges. Both bridges are closed. In Manila, we are observing the extreme enhanced quarantine.

@jobelbojel We can pray but it won't happen. Prayer is good but it will not cancel laziness, neglect and foolishness. I can pray all I want but if the needle is showing low fuel I need to put gasoline in the tank. USA is up to 146,027 and it looks like it will grow a lot more.

We should really follow shelter-in-place order. We must go out only if required. That's unfortunate for you. So how are you managing your groceries and stuffs?

@jobelbojel Oh I understand. Just stock it up with things whenever possible. I mean I don't recommend overstocking but then whatever we might really need. :-)

@smileyhema that is correct. We need to be ready. I went out today to check what is going outside. It is like normal day. There are lots of vehicles.

We are near the grocery. 2 min walk I think. I was out Tuesday and Wednesday to buy food and stock.

That is what I heard. We also need more testing kits here. There are about 200 people being tested daily here compared to other countries, they are testing thousand people.

The number is actually over 100,000 cases reported in the United States. But again, just trying to keep things in perspective. The population of Italy is roughly 60.5 million people. They have 86,498 cases reported as of this writing. That's 0.1429719008% of their population. The United States has roughly 350 million people. With 100,390 cases that's 0.0286851429% of the population. That number is SUBSTANTIALLY lower than the rate in Italy by leaps and bounds. I am not saying it's a GOOD number in the US. BUT, when we are spitting out numbers we also have to be making comparisons that account for the total number of people in the country.

That is a good point. If we get more testing done here in the Philippines, we will have an increase numbers. Most people are out during the Enhanced Community Quarantine.

I don't trust the numbers from China. It's not exactly up front. Hopefully, we'll reach the curve soon on this virus.

It is now more than 100k. Because they have more testing kits and they are advanced unlike in the Philippines. We only have limited testing kits.
