Original Star Wars Movies are good back then. I like Episode V: Empire Strikes Back! Imperial Walkers, Snow Speeders, Snow Troopers, Super Star Destroyer! I love that movie, That Time the Empire Wins in the round in Hoth Planet.

The originals. The new ones are horrible IMHO.

I suspect that the wooden acting was a direct result of filming in a completely green-screened room. With no interaction between the actor and his environment, it's hard for him to come across naturally.

They might have been better if the acting was better. I blame that on the directer as well as the actors. Natalie Portman is a much better actress then I saw in those movies. The guy who played anikin was horrible. I think lucus should have waited till the kid from one grew up and had him in the movie. He would not have done much worse

I love both sets of movies. The originals are obviously classics, great stories and great effects for their time...once remastered they came up great. The more recent movies are also great, still love the stories, amazing special effects. I love them all, but think because of the technology leap for their age...the original movies will win every time. they were amazing on release for the day.

I agree with your comment, and I'll add that the acting in all six films is not, by design, supposed to be Academy Award-worthy. The Star Wars saga was, and still is, a modernized version of the Saturday afternoon serials of the 1930s and 1940s...and those weren't exactly supposed to be elegant or "finely acted."

There's more realism in some of the movies today, but a lot of movies rely too much on special effects, and not enough on story, plot, and character, in my opinion.

Depends on the individual movie really. Some movies though they should never mess with - THE OMEN!! Others it doesn't matter cause I don't like either - TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. Posiedon is great though.

OH shoot! My bad...I didn't see that. I love the new ones. But I like the old ones of course too. I just relate better to the new ones. And the cast is much cuter!

Well,it is hard to say...But I like the new ones...May be because I knew the story of old ones even before I saw them.. Or maybe because of the fantastic fight scenes!! But creating a new Idea is tough!! Building up based on that is comparitevly simple!!! So, in that aspect,I love Old ones...But my preference 2 watch would be the new ones!!

I like the originals they were ahead of their time in special effects and storyline. I also have fond memories of seeing them at the theater over and over again. There were sometimes competition as to who can see Star Wars the most times.

I would have to go with the original set of films. While the special effects of the newer films has been pretty amazing, I think the story got watered down a little too much. In the original films, you were just finding out new information about the characters, and I think they went too far away from that with the new three films. That is one of the main reasons I like the original trilogy best.

The originals had better story line to them, bu the fighting was really bad. The new ones Have great battles and fighting, but lack the great story of the originals. So I will go with the originals, cause story line comes out over special effects.
