Selena Quintanilla-Perez was born on April 16, 1971. She was an American singer, songwriter, spokesperson, model, actress and fashion designer. Billboard magazine named her the top-selling Latin artist of the 1990s; and as of 2016, 60-65 million albums have been sold worldwide, making her one of the best-selling female artists in Latin music history. This CD, "Dreaming of You" was released posthumously and was her crossover album into American music. Had she lived, she would have been a really big star in the United States. On March 31, 1995, she was shot by her friend and former manager of her Selena, Etc. boutiques. She was only 23 years old. In 1997 the movie "Selena" starring Jennifer Lopez was released. It has a great soundtrack and is an amazing tribute to her life as an entertainer. I highly recommend it. Tracks 1. I Could Fall in Love 2. Captive Heart 3. I'm Getting Used to You 4. God's Child (Baila Conmigo) 5. Dreaming of You 6. Missing my Baby 7. Amor Prohibido 8. Wherever You Are (Donde Quiera Que Estes) 9. Techno Cumbia 10. El Toro Relajo 11. Como la Flor 12. Tu Solo Tu 13. Bidi Bidi Bom Bom An interesting tidbit: She had to learn to sing in Spanish since she was born in Texas and only spoke English. She must have learned her Spanish well, because she became a star in Mexico, the land of her father's birth. I think she was an amazing talent. Please listen to "Dreaming of You":
Here's my Selena video, I actually had finished it last night but when I tried to save it, it didnt work urghhh. Sillily, when I turned back on the computer ...

I absolutely love that song. It's been ages since I've listened to it, but I used to listen to it all the time. It's sad what happened to her, she could have been great.
