Why do we treat strangers better than our relatives?

Our behavior is always changing according to different groups of people, and we may not be aware of this. Sometimes in life, you feel sad because you are not treated respectfully by your relatives, even though when you treated by strangers, they are extremely polite...

They said that because of too much familiarity those who are close to us lose their respect towards us. I don't know if they know or not, but based on my observation, that is true. We don't have a choice but to be more understanding of them because they are relatives or close to us.

that disrespect is also dangerous because it can break a relationship at any time, which is a pity..

@mnglsp yes! i agreed, but i'm afraid that when they talk to them, they will be narcissistic such as they feel not much hurt but they don't want relatives to tell them like that

@alexjessi Indeed. But what we can do about that is to say it straight to them, I think. Cause maybe they think that they are too close to us that they think they can disrespect us.

Had you ever heard of the saying " familiarity breeds contempt"? Try searching it, it could be one good explanation.

I think we just need to understand the personas of different sets of people. Some relatives can be evil.

Maybe because our relatives hold some grudges which the strangers haven't developed till now.
