He's my kid

I do not talk to my son often but I just had a long phone visit. He talked about something he found growing in his yard. He had been researching it. It was a plant he had a childhood memory about. It is funny. He reminded me of him finding one and picking it, when he was pretty little and I told him he should have left it so we would know where it was and dig it up for a flower bed. So we talked plants! and wildflowers. I like my kid. He is a young thing, only forty three.

He does not initiate. I have to do it. It is unusual for him to talk long, so this was a record for me.

@BelleStarr I do not hear from my daughter often either, but when we talk it is for a long time. Like tonight we talked over an hour.

@GardenGerty not everyone is good at phone calls. Does he like to email or text at all?

Grape hyacinth. And he explained to me that they are not hyacinths at all (I knew that) then told me about this early memory at our first house probably about 38 years ago.

@GardenGerty I feel it is important for family to try and stay close especially now with all that is going on. Keep making those calls.

I seem to have lost twenty years or so. My daughter says it is because I keep taking care of sick people. My brain went mush.
