As of Monday, some covid-19 restrictions will be lifted. We have done quite well in our Province in lowering the curve so we are being rewarded. Golfers are especially happy that they will be out on the golf course in a matter of days. While social distancing will still be in place, we will now be able to visit the dentist, chiropracter or physiotherapist. Only restuarant patios will be opened. Playgrounds, campsites, golf, tennis and non-contact kids sports will all be open now. For those waiting for a hair cut, salons will be allowed to open as well as museums, galleries, malls and libraries. Finally I will be able to return those books I borrowed months ago. Any restrictions eased in your area?

It would depend on if there is a decline in new cases and you are a much larger province than Manitoba.

Golf courses are open but I don't think campsites are. And we can't go out of our geographical regions yet. But our numbers are way, way down so that's good.

It is important that the numbers stay down so its best not to move too quickly with openings.

@Freelanzer I'm a bit worried as they seem to be relaxing some of the rules way too quickly here.

We are having businesses opening in phases. Restaurants are in the last phase which is June if everything goes ok.

@Freelanzer I fear that some of the small local businesses may not open again. This pandemic hit them really hard.

It's been almost a year since you mentioned these restrictions, have they gotten any better over there?

@rebelann Working hours are still shortened, but we are not completely closed as we were a year ago. Here the response to vaccines is lower than expected and there with you?

It's just a matter of time. We are still cautiously optimistic about it.

The news just showed a car window with a golf ball embedded in it! I went to my dentist and podiatrist without any problems! Doctors were not on the 'banned' list.

For some reason they didn't think dentists and other health providers (except family doctors) were essential.

We are headed up north tomorrow where nothing is opened, thank goodness. I love golf, but not enough to risk my life.

I am not a golfer but it seems that they should be able to pracrtice social distancing out there on the wide open green.

@Freelanzer One would hope so. I’m a crummy golfer and prefer lunch in the clubhouse, but that’s something that won’t be happening soon.

I read the article about golfers can play golf soon, and thought that it is appropriate, since golfers doesn't often come close to each other while playing.

Yes I think that is one sport that can be played safety as there is a lot of space for social distance.
