Do you ever feel guilty of destroying ants' business?

Sometimes while cleaning, I happen to see ants infront of me carrying some small things/left over foods they can carry.. and instantly I wash them away with water or wipe them with a wet towelette. Then afterwards, I feel guilty doing it. I know they are getting ready for the rainy days but here I am, ruining what they are doing.

I daughter is doing something like that in our residence and I don't regret for that . These ants have become a big headache these days.
