period of isolation, Aftermath impact of the virus

May 7, 2020 3:35am CST
With the world's population standing at around 7.8billion the coming of the virus has caused billions to be in some sort of isolation. I look out for the impact of isolation for a long time on people. Psychological impact was more pronounced and one of the discussions on this forum someone mentioned that it's actually already getting on to some people. Some scientist and researchers are of the view that the world must start preparing for the aftermath of the Lockdowns (isolation) on such a great number of people.. Some people will be struggling with personal identity, some will be having trouble when it comes to sleep, What do you think will be some of these aftermath impacts??

The psychological being is, of course, of prime importance. Many are in mourning, for they have lost their loved ones without even saying the proper good-bye. There's the trauma. The children are adapting but the teens are in an awkward stage. So, they could be disillusioned. The parents are powerless to do any thing. The concern is on the lack of income and the bills piling up. Subsistence is necessary. And right now, the world is in recession. Time to grow your own vegetable garden.

@eileenleyva. Very true that is . The impact seems deeper than what meets the eye for many it will be long last effects.. Talking of combating financial stress. Growing own veggies is indeed a great idea. I guess you are already working on one are you?

I'm sure there will be an impact on everyday life once the pandemic ends and society can return to some semblance of normalcy. It's hard to say what the impact will be until it happens. Nobody expected the effects we're seeing with the pandemic. For myself, there won't be a lot of impact as I'm already retired. Though I will be able to return to my usual activities, which I am definitely looking forward to.

@Helikaputo I saw mutation yesterday. It's scary to think this virus is mutating.

@just4him very scary because mutation will make it extra hard to find a permanent solution

Indeed the pandemic has take the whole world by surprise.. What is disheartening is the term they keep using " evolving" "mutation" .. hope the solution comes fast so everyone can get back to normal daily activities

I think a lot will be devastated from the loss of friends and family members. I have heard of friends not being able to sleep and I wonder if we will ever return to how it was before the virus at all.

@kareng True things can never be the same again. Especially for those who have been affected directly a loss of a loved one is something so deep

I think the financial fallout will take a while to overcome for some people. I'm not sure when or if we'll all go back to being comfortable around people and that's so sad.

@Helikaputo I've always been a hugger, so it will strange not to hug everyone. But if someone doesn't want to be hugged, that's fine.

I think many people will be struggling financially for a long time. Personally, I’m going to keep doing what I’ve been doing before and during the pandemic. I will remain a germaphobe and be extra cautious when out and about.

@Helikaputo I agree. Right now, I’m not too worried. My only concern is getting this virus to go away for good.

If it's not broken don't fix it.. so sticking to what you have always been doing is a good plan.. The financial impact will really be massive on many as you have put it.. hope with time people find a solution to Marshall the impact at personal level

The obvious one is not readily shaking hands and hugging people. I think people would feel awkward or uncomfortable; the fear always being there about touching other people. I also think life will never be the same with fully accepting Chinese because of the current allegations.

Shaking hands and hugs are definitely going away for a very long time I do agree with you. The Chinese will have to pull something miraculous to get out of this hook. They will not get out of this so easily
