My favorite player has to be Lidstrom. He is such a great player.

I like Lindstrom. But before he left, Shanny had my vote with Ozzy a close second. My 7 year old was named during a game because he kicked: Shanny got the goal with an assist from Lindstrom, therefore his name is Brendan Nicolas.

Do you remeber his awesome slapshot in the final game of Olympics? Fantastic.. Lidström is definitely my favourite player! He has been my role model while I was playing too, he is a very good example for young players. He is now also the Swedish player with most appearances in the NHL. Yesterday (2007-02-02) he passed the previous record holder Börje Salming who had 1148 games in the league. And it seems like he will play for a couple of years so he will probably have 16-17 seasons in the NHL when he retire, that is a tough records to brake.. Gordie Howe is the player with most appearances in the NHL with 1767 games. he will probably have this records forever.

My favorite player? That certainly would depend on whether you're talking about active or inactive players. I have nothing but respect for Jiri Fischer. He was certainly my favorite player for a long time. My current fave would be Datsyuk. Who else plays with a stick that has holes? All time favorite: Back to the era of the Russian Five. I'd even go so far as to rank him above Nick Lidstrum. The man, the legend: Vladimir Konstantinov. It's too bad what happened... I can definitely see him still being in the game if he was healthy. Can you imagine Vladdy and Cheli?

I have more than one favorite player. I would have to say my top 5 are Zetterburg, Schneider, Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Samuelson. And sorry if I spelled any of the names wrong. I would also have to say that my list may grow if Calder stays and continues playing like he is. Not sure on Bertuzzi as I do nto know much about him. Husband is happy we acquired him though.

It is hard to say, since the team has changed so much in the last few years. I would probably have to say Lidstrom or Hasek.
