Since we can't choose the family we are borne into, but one can have the full responsibility of the kind of people you can categorize as a circle of friends that love you and always never afraid to tell you to your face when you're tending to go over the hill so to speak. The highest kind of betrayal stems from the people closest to you and the first cut is always the deepest.

@sandsoftime77 that is very true. Late Mario Puzu did a lot of novels about loyalty and betrayal.
A loyal friend is worth keeping though hard to find

You have said it well. I have got some real deep cuts in past. But fortunately I am surrounded by friends and family who are gem. I count more of my blessings.
