Tackling extreme heat and laziness

So, after some occasional and sometimes unexpected rains, sometimes on Saturdays and Sundays, we are now under the impact of the extreme heat. Temperatures in normal city locations are around 45 C. Yet, a few weather stations in flying club and one former airport area(which have temperatures slightly higher than other city areas) recorded 47.4 C !! - a high in the last 15/16 years. First, we had some really chilly winters(mins dropped to near 2/3 C and max near 12/13 C) and then unexpectedly rainy and slightly colder March. Now this oppressive heat. I am now worried if we would have heavy rains? And the rainy season could increase the Covid-19 spread risks further! Well, as of now our repaired AC is a savior. Yet for not so fortunate folks on the roads, it must be a very tough time.

@SHOHANA We are mainly eating watermelons and muskmelons here, and having rose or Khus Sharbat.

Used to be we only worried about floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. Now it's a double whammy because everything that happens is that ... PLUS the COVID-19 pandemic.

@CarolDM Yes, and that drastically increases the power bill, but we do not have an option.
