We're now under MGCQ. Now, what?

When this pandemic started, we were strictly advised to stay at home. We were issued an ID, naming only one member of the family. That person is the only allowed, in the family, to go out of the house (only ONCE a week) to buy our provisions & meds. We agreed to appoint our daughter No. 3. But, when even finding a trimobile to load her groceries, LPG tank & sack of rice (for our supplies at least for 2 weeks), was difficult, we decided to request a certification from the barangay appointing our daughter No. 4 instead. She drives her motorcycle so it was easier to run errands for the family. There was hoarding everywhere! Our grocery stores ran out of alcohol, toilet papers, rice & other needs, before the 1st day of quarantine order took effect. There was chaos in supermarkets! 'Twas good only for the moneyed. For those without? 3 cans of sardines & few kilos of rice were the usual pair they carry to the cashier! Whew! We stayed on home quarantine since March. It was easy for me because I am used to stay in the house. I'd been "on quarantine", by choice, since I had this thyroid cancer in 2001. But not for my spouse (after retirement last year), who was on an afternoon lawn tennis schedule & had other regular activities in our Church & in his membership in other organizations. Also, to our 2 daughters (one a Gov't employee & the other an Elementary Teacher). Time flew fast! There was a 0 covid-19 positive in our city, thanks God! And thanks to our very strict frontliners! Because of this great news, we were put on a Modified General Community Quarantine starting June 1. Anyone can freely go out of houses (just have to wear face masks, do frequent handwashing, bring always a sanitizer & maintain physical distancing). Our public market was opened again. Vehicles are already allowed too. As early as 4am of June 1, vehicles & people started filling the streets of our city! Until this writing. OM!

We are also under MGCQ now... They changed the guidelines once again, just yesterday, I think... 20 and below, and 60 and above, should stay at home at all times, once again for areas under MGCQ...

@KnehKnah Our province had several cases before but now we don't have an active case for how many weeks now, but we're not sure because not everyone is tested. There are two recent positive cases in Baguio with travel history in my province. We are unsure if they got the virus here or they had transmitted to other people here. Even if they said our province is COVID free, we are still very careful. I haven't gone outside our town yet since March.

Hello my friend I am so happy to see you as always looking for here and pray that you all right and today I finally get to see your post. I hope you remember me because I changed my DP. It's a tough time going on in most parts of the world which are suffering from this Pandemic as here also not allowed before but now people can move with safety care. I am glad there are no cases at your place as its a big relief. here cases coming regularly of 50-60 daily but not people cant stay more at home as slowly some work started.

Same thing in our city. Only one is allowed to board a trimobile; 2 to 3 in cars. In public utility vehicle? Only 1 per row. So you'll pay double or more too than the regular fare.
