According to some educated people, reading provides many benefits for us, like improving the intelligence of our brain, killing time in qualified way and enhance our knowledge. 
Sadly there are many people who don't like reading activity. They consider reading as useless wasteful activity and not beneficial financially.
No wonder if hoax and scam spread easily among literate people.

Reading is good provided you gain something from it. Reading to gain knowledge or learn about culture or biography of great people are things we can do by reading.

Reading books and articles are good,from this we can possible to increase our skills. But hear also need control, all words in each article, book is not genuine so must believing those after research only.

well, iliterate people get eaten by hoax easily because they did not know how to cross check some news/fact.
