Do you know your neighbors?

There is a clinic next to my unit, a dental clinic. I asked the dental assistant, how much was dental filling, but he did not answer me because they are not open for business yet. They will open in July. He was surprised when I opened the gate. He told me that he thought no one lived in my unit. I seldom go out. I just do so when I shop. Actually, I only know few of my neighbors. What about you, do you know your neighbors and vice versa?

We live in an area where most of the home owners here are retired. Yes, we know them, but not 100%

I live on a smallish lane and know about 1/4 of my neighbors. New people moved in while we were in Florida. We haven't gotten close to anyone to talk. We just wave when out for a walk.

I know a few of my neighbours. My husband and I do talk to some of them. Some we know better than others, but we do try and be nice to them.

@Janet357 I do not really know my neighbors. I talk to the guy when I see him that lives across from our apartment. Maybe one other is ok, but, the rest I really do not want to know anything about them.

@Janet357 Most rent here and the apartments are small. Some have moved after having one child and others have moved after having 3.

Yes I know all my neighbours very well . We attend each others family functions and help each other when we need it. More like an extended family.

I only have one neighbor and I know them a little. Across the street is a restaurant and on the other side of me is a vacant lot, I have not gotten to know anyone else in my community.

I did when I lived at the other park, but only talked to a few here. The lady next door I met when we got the bathroom redone and had to go to the gas station for the bathroom. She told us we can come over and use theirs which was very nice. Thank god the new toilet was in at day's end and was useable.

Yes, I know them all, they are all natives. I was born here too. We are just like that, it was strange to me when I read that people don't know their neighbors, I can't understand it ... but simply when I think about it, we all live and behave differently, our mentality is different

@Janet357 Yes, it used to be that way, unfortunately not anymore. Here, malice and envy, jealousy, prevailed among the people. Success is not forgiven here, or if they see you buy a better car or something ... that's exactly what it feels like in the way or the way they address you

I know most of my neighbors, I've been in the neighborhood since age 3. Although I feel quite awkward when walking down the street or so.

We met our neighbors when they first moved in about 10 or so years ago but we don't talk. We do wave when we see them. The rest of the neighbor hood changes too much to know who is who. We are the old ones, lived in our home for 28 years.
