I bought a trumpet pitcher today...

...others may know it by it's latin name "Sarracenia". The plant's leaves have evolved into a funnel or pitcher shape in order to trap insects. This is my first insect eating plant, have you ever had one? If so, do you have a few tips for me? I've already been reading they need lots of sun and are not allowed to dry out. (image is my own)

I agree, for a plant which is not yet in blossom, it is pretty neat. Now I wonder if it will catch a fly or two.

I actually found it in the local grocery store, and decided the price wasn't to bad and bought it.

They do indeed, I only wonder if they will close the top leaf in case it catches an insekt.
