Homemade cake done!

Santiago, Chile
August 3, 2020 10:47pm CST
As I was watching Tv guys I had the need to make something to eat as a midnight snack, so what's better than a homemade cake, right? So I took the advantage of having all food supplies bought previously which led me to have all the ingredients that the recipe needed. In this sense let my imagination fly! Above you see the result. A delicious cake, it took me 45 minutes to make it because I turn out to get better at making it. Everytime a make one I need to add something so it looks different than the last one, so this time I added some nonpareils which are basically decorative confectionery colored small balls made with sugar and dark chocolate chips in the cake, despite they're used to decorate outside the cake I blended them in the mixture! I hope you can spot the little colored dots that are noticeable in the cake slice. That's all for tonight mylotters. Now I am heading to bed to watch either a movie or series! Good night see you tomorrow! Picture is mine.

Your cake looks very tempting. For some reason, non-pareils are also called 'hundreds and thousands' here.

@JudyEv Oh Judy I wish I could send you a slice! Well I tell you a secret I was struggling with remembering its name in English so I went in the internet to find out cause I had no idea how to call them for the post lol and now you tell me it has an easy name as that. What an easy way to call them!

@CarolDM thank you! While I was making it I thought of doing it right so it looks beautiful for the picture that I pictured I would post here. Regarding your question, it is the usual color in a cake, I would have loved to add a colorant that people add in the mixture but I didn't want to!

@jvicentevalera First, throw in the pie filling, then the cake mix. On top, place 2 sticks of butter. Cook on HIGH for about 3 hours, maybe 3 1/2 hours. Easy! There are no rules to what cake mix or pie filling to use.
