Cash not accepted

United States

I went into a national food restaurant today and I ordered some food. When I went to hand the employee the cash, she had informed me that they do not currently accept cash due to the covid 19 pandemic . The only issue that I had is that I did not have my wallet on me at the time and I did not have any credit cards on me to pay for it. I asked what can I do? They told me I can download the app and try to set up a payment through the app. As I was doing this the employee came up to me and told me that they took care of the bill and next time remember they only take cards during the current time. I even told them if they wanted, I can bring a payment back to them. They told me that it was ok. I have to remember that for future reference that cash is gonna be a thing of the past.

I got into the habit of milk in the jug rather than in bags. Due to this pandemic was told not able to bring empty jugs back until it is over. When this first started I thought over would be sometime. Now it looks like I will be going into the milk business. All I will need is a cow.

Technically places can’t tell you that. We are actually have a change shortage because people don’t want to wash there hands. Money is no more cleaner then someone’s card. Me I wouldn’t go there or they should probably put up on the wall or window what payments they are accepting.

Yeah, the cashless payment is now preferred due to the risks of virus transmissions through the cash. Btw, taking care your bill was very nice.

Using cards or e-wallet nowadays are encouraged for transactions. Maybe they afraid that the virus spreads through the cash.
