Apple may be working on launching its own search engine, it said. Apple may soon be releasing its own search engine to compete with Google according to media reports. Google is currently paying billions of dollars to Apple to remain the company's default search engine on iOS, iPadOS and macOS. However, in July a report said the agreement didn't succeed. All these factors mean Apple needs a search engine of its own.

@amitkokiladitya Yes there are more android users than IOS users, so apple will fail miserably if they do so.

I hope this search engine that they are building would be open for the general public and not just as an "exclusive" to the Apple Brand.

Maybe it shall be exclusive to the apple brand only for the apple devices.

Safari is an Apple browser. I have not tried but perhaps they provide a search functionality?

That's good. If it launches then I will try to use it as my default search engine for a change.
