My 2020 Graduate

2020 has been crazy for the whole world. One good thing they came from this year, though, is my baby graduated high school. She is my youngest. She has had some tough times the last few years. She has lost many friends because she refused to take part in foolish behavior. She has had family turn their back on her because she will not abandon her faith. We have lost people to death that left a great void in our lives. But she pressed on and she is taking the next step in fulfilling her dream. She started college, majoring in Criminal Justice. She hopes to, one day, join the FBI's BAU. She is finding out the truth about college. It is much tougher than high school. I am thankful for the privilege of homeschooling all my children. Now I get the privilege of homeschooling some of my grandkids.

By Denise Knight @gnatsmom I am sorry all she has gone through. You must be so proud of her graduating. That is interesting what she wants to do in life. College is so much different than High School. I did not like High School. I did love college. Have fun homeschooling your grandchildren.

That is great to know that she is majoring. Well, is there any valuable objective in homeschooling all your kids?

There is great value in homeschooling my kids: 1. No one knows them better or loves them more than I. I care more about their well-being and success than any stranger in a school system. 2. Schools don't teach morals and values. As a matter of fact, they usually promote immorality and are weak on teaching ethics. With me, they got an academic education as well as character lessons. 3. I could tailor their lessons to their individual learning style and multiple intelligence level. 4. Public schools are more about government indoctrination instead of pure academics. 5. Instead of being locked away 8 hours a day or more, interacting, mostly with peers, mine had the world around them as a classroom and they learned how to comfortably and efficiently interact with all age groups. 6. My husband and I, as Christians, believe that it is God's intent for the parents to be the primary teachers of our children. We are to insure they learn properly and develop into who He created them to be. 7. It was my joy and privilege to teach them. God blessed our home with four amazing babies. They are our greatest treasures. You don't hand your treasure over to strangers or institutions and trust them to manage it well. You take care of it and protect it yourself. I hope this makes sense.
