Having a step mother

My father started dating again and it I don't know how to take it. They separated with my mom two years ago and I was hoping that there would still be a chance that they could get back together but it seems that won't happen.
He has brought home this woman twice and I think they are getting serious. Then the woman called me today just to say hi. I mean that is great, but what is she now? My step mother? I don't know how to take this. My brothers and sitsters are dissapointed too and confused for they were also wishing our parents could get back together. Thank God all this is happening when we are all grown ups.
Do you have a step mom/dad? How did you take it that first time you got introduced to him/her?

@a_jerobon It's not easy being a step-parent.. A lot of issues arise but all you can do is your best. Be yourself and give your trust and understanding.
