I'm 'lways humbled by folks kind words 'bout pics I've taken'n shared. Y'all're months 'hind - I've o'er 3,000 since I took a break from here. Various birds, frogs, damselflies, dragonflies, potter wasps, feral cats'f all ages 'n e'en Mr. Squirrel who made'n 'ppearance fer 'bout a week'n June. The Blue Jays jest too much fer him, he didn't e'en 'npack his lil suitcase...
This'd be one 'f those lucky shots. A sweet bee posin' whilst I 'twas takin' pics 'f Prickly Pear cactus blossoms. Makes me smile e'ery time I run 'cross 't, hope 't does the same fer ya :)
Trust me, I delete a gazillion photos that seriously make me doubt any abilities't all. Most oft 'tis sheer luck!

aw, thanks! jest 'twas takin' a break that day 'n noticed the flowers'd finally opened. 'd to grab the camera to capture such beauty. the lil bee made the pic :)

@just4him thanks, hon. i doubt he'll be back this year. 'tis 'bout the time he headed fer other parts last year. do wonder where he's been though...'n where he wondered off to 'fter his brief stay.

purty sure 'twas sleepin' prior. most certain she 'twas not 'xpectin' me with a camera'n her face, but still too groggy to flee. that're perhaps she 'twas a diva ;) no ma'am, not a bumble bee. not fer certain 'xact species, but 'tis one 'f our natives. 've learnt we've 14 diff'rent kinds. from teensy tiny (still've not gotten a good pic 'f that'un) to this size. all colors, too. most interestin' 'n so grateful they seem to be thrivin' here.

@nela13 that's what they say. i dunno i've seen all 14 varieties?? sadly i aint seen a bumble bee here fer 'bout 2 years. too much crop sprayin' 'n then the city folk movin' out here destroyin' their habitats. add that to drought 'n the pickin's 've been very slim :(
