There is a song on the Halloween song list that is classic rock and that song is "Witchy Woman" by Eagles. I used to love hearing that song and it could have been about me because every Halloween when I was little I wanted to be a witch. Mom was always hoping I would change my mind but a witch I was and remained. My episodes of being a witch for Halloween did not stop when I became an adult. One Halloween after work I went Uptown in Manhattan dressed as a witch with a pointy hat and a broom. I love the looks I got and it made me smile all the while. In fact not only did guys call me Witchy Witchy but one nut even tried to take my broom. He got a smack with the broom is what he got, Such fun remembering these times, The song was recorded in 1972. It was released as the second single on The Eagles debut album. Here I am in my witch costume.

I dressed as a witch a few times for Halloween, it's such an easy and cute outfit :) I love your little witch hat!

I remember an interview with Don Henley where he said he hated that song. He said he wrote it in bed with the flu, and was under the influence of his flu medication and having just read Zelda, which was about F. Scott Fitzgerald's wife.
