This is a Maruchan ramen Cup a soup with fried Spam and roast beef. It is the spicy flavor. Spam is very popular in Hawaii and South Korea. Fried Spam is surprisingly good in Hawaiian dishes like ramen, or saimen. It takes on the flavors of the seasonings. Boars Head roast beef is added as well as some green onion. This is a satisfying and easy meal to make.

Yes spam is very popular in Hawai'i. Not only is it good in saimin but fried spam also tastes good as a Musubi. Kind of getting hungry now lol have a nice day.

We got inspired from a spam commercial and made beef ramen, fried spam and eggs the other week. It was really good. Something we will make again. Your meal looks good as well.

I was born and grew up in Southeast Asia, so spam is also huge there. We put it in omelettes, and oftentimes in fried rice. I have a friend who taught me about putting spam in ramen noodles, we were in Hong Kong then. I like instant noodles and spam, so I thought I'll give it a whirl. And I liked it! Spam and noodles is my favorite meal when I am feeling crappy and I need something substantial to eat in an instant. It is very filling, but I try not to eat it often as the high sodium content and little nutrition can be bad if taken regularly.

I agree it can be filling. I used lower sodium Spam in my soup.

There are other ramen flavors besides spicy. You can use any meat, or none at all, if you wish.It is good to put vegetables in it, more more nutrition.

@Aquitaine24 Oh, but of course. When I was younger I used to eat them all the time. Can't really have them all that much anymore. Gotta watch my salt these days, and those things are practically salt licks. lol

@Cheyee Yes, you do.Basically you can add anything you want to ramen.Put it in a bowl to make more room if the cup is too small. Some brands don’t come in a cup, but you get the idea.
