I Forgot To Mention The New Car!

So, if you will remember I told you that my wife was looking for a new car to replace our 2010 Ford Edge we bought in 2011 practically brand new.
She had her eye on an Infinity QX30 on the Auffenberg lot that was a 2017 with 30,000 miles for $27,000. With discounts and the online price, and then a "must go" price, the car was eventually about $20,000.
But when we got to the lot the following week to take it for a spin, it was gone. Sold.
She found a Nissan Rogue on the lot. It was a 2019 and had a little over 7,000 miles on it. List price was $24,000, but the online price was $20,000.
She drove it. She liked it. We bought it.
They gave us $5200 on the Edge and we put down $2,000. I'd have usually put down quite a bit more. But the total and the payment was practically nothing, so I said to hell with it and just financed it.
Wifey is very happy with it so far. I think we got a fantastic deal. It's practically a brand new car for $20,000 and I am ecstatic from a financial perspective.

I thought it was a real steal. True story: Maybe it WAS! They fired the salesman after he sold it to us. Only knew that because we were looking for a manual, tried to contact him, couldn't, then finally went to the dealership and they said he did not work there anymore. Probably not related at all. But still funny to me. lol

Yeah, it seems it's a perfect size for her. It's a bit smaller than the Edge was and doesn't have all the bells and whistles. But she is happy with it and that's all that matters. Plus, the price. I think it was a steal for what is darn near a brand new car.
