a big savings on our electric bill

Electric rate here in the india especially in Gujarat, Maharashtra is costly. In our house we always incur a monthly bill of 4,000-4,500.00 rupees. Yet , we don't have air conditioners just electric fans in our 5 bedrooms. When an electrician went to our house to repair electric water pump we asked him why our bill is so high. He said it's because we are using an electric water pump which we use every time we get water from the faucet. Thus, we connected to a local water supplier. a month after seldom usage of the water pump (we only use it now to get drinking water sieved through a purifier attached) , the electric bill is now only for 2,500.00rupees only. The water bill is only 300.00. Imagine, for many years, say 10 years we have been consuming electricity for 4,500.00 monthly, and now that ! Wow, had we connected to the local water supplier we could already have saved at least 2,000.00 a month . If we multiply it for 10 years , we could have saved a lot already. Nowadays, we have to be aware of what makes us consume more electricity if we want to cut on our utilities at home.

Noo noo we were using the electric motor for that we had to start that motor everytime when we wanted to use the water.but then we connected our water pipe to local water supplier's pipe so that whenever we want water we don't have to start the motor.

Good you found out the cause of your high electric bills. As they say better late than never. I live in Maharashtra and luckily till date I have not had the problem of high electric bills.

I don't think so because during the lockdown government had charged extra taxes on the electricity bills and still they are.
