Beautiful Sunshine & Cat Toys

Woke up to lots of sunshine. No wind today thankfully. Nice cool temperatures to enjoy.
Have been out in the yard, walking around, and enjoying the sunshine.
When I came inside Brendel had let me her favorite toy, called PJ. She does not allow the Dude to play with PJ. Only for me and her.
So cool. She used to play fetch but as she gets older, she just brings PJ and leaves him at my feet or on my quilt as in the photo.

I wonder what goes through her mind when she brings you PJ?
..."here, this is to remind you of all the times we used to play."
..."this is to remember me by, so that you know who your favorite cat is."
...or, "I'd like to trade this thing in for a nice plate of tuna fish!"

so glad ya woke to a beautiful day, hon. i know how the winds can wear'n ones nerves. i've raked, gathered'n re-distributed 11 wheelbarrow's full 'f leaves thus far today. what a blessin' to tend to such. mulch fer some tender plants, will break such down'n sections 'f pasture needin' the nutrients, etc.
aw, makes me miss my sweet cat e'en more. she's not play with her own toys, preferrin' the pups 'nstead :) 's that a dresden quilt? jest gorgeous!

@CarolDM yer welcome :) 'tis a most precious gift fer certain. i love quilts such's that. we're to be'n the low 80's come friday then 'nother front comin' sunday. i reckon the crazy weather 'tis a perfect match fer the times?

@CarolDM Even our mallards had their own personalities. The guy before us clipped their wings. They stayed with us until the wings grew back...then they flew off to do duck things! They were so cute...and so different. Homer circled the house as he readied to fly off and quacked at us. Jethro was more reserved and never really was tame.

That is so cute of Brendel. Many years ago my first cat had a yarn monkey she carried around and before the monkey totally fell apart I resewed its head at least twice,
