GIVE THANKS Psalm 100:1 (A Psalm of praise.) Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. 2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations. Do you need a reason to be thankful? Do you feel your life is meaningless? Do you wonder why you’re always at the bottom of the ladder and not on the way up or at the top? Do you wake up each day with a smile on your face? Do you look at each new experience as a new opportunity? Do you turn failures into achievements? Every day you have the same amount of time as everyone else. What you do with that time will either show you to be thankful or regretful, positive or negative. Did you wake up this morning? Give thanks. Do you have food on your table? Give thanks. Did you have a bed to sleep in? Give thanks. Do you have friends? Give thanks. Do you have a loving family? Give thanks. Do you wonder where your next meal is coming from? Give thanks. Do you wonder where you will sleep tonight? Give thanks. Do you wonder if anyone cares? Give thanks. Yes, give thanks for every situation, good or bad. Habakkuk 3:17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: 18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. 19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments. As Christians, you have countless opportunities to bless others. When things look bleak, look for a way to help someone else. When you do, you will turn your day into a blessing. Job was a man who lost everything. Yet he never stopped giving honor to God, even when his friends told him to give up. In the end of his trial, God blessed him with double what he had before he lost everything. What have you lost? Give God praise. Let’s pray: Father, help me give You praise and thanks for all the blessings You give me every day. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. I had psalm 100 memorized and recently couldn't remember all the verses so thanks for the reminder. Have you ever sung verses 1-4 of this psalm? We can do it by heart with a group. We use the kjv though.

@just4him have you ever sung any verses in the bible? There's one in psalms 19 or 119 if have to look. And then Corinthians I think where it takes about being steadfast unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord. And acts when the lame walked. That's a children's doing maybe you've heard that one before? Silver and gold have I none but such as I have give I thee, in the name of Jesus Christ is nazareth rise up and walk. Walking and leaping and praising God...

No, I've never sung it. I use KJV, but make changes to the eth's and est's for easy reading.
